Jon Miller is known as the soothing voice of the San Francisco Giants on KNBR 680, but the veteran broadcaster explained on the Rich Eisen Show Wednesday why he’s also trying up his game on social media.
Miller, 64, doubled Eisen over with laughter when talking about his Instagram account @jonmillersfgiants, specifically his use of the captions “#onfleek”, and the hashtag “#squadgoals.”

Eisen: What have your kids made you do?
Miller: Well, they said, ‘Dad, not that you are a real old passe guy, but you’d be a little more current if you did Instagram.’ Because I’ve always taken a lot of photos. And of course, I text them to my kids, I text them to my wife or whoever. So they said just put those pictures on the Instagram. I don’t know anything about it. They showed me how to do it. They set it up for me. And I’ve been doing it, and I really enjoy it. And really the big thing is hashtags.
Eisen: (Laughter)
Miller: It’s not just a photo or the film, it’s the hashtag you put with it. (My kids) give me things to put. It’s a lot of fun.
Eisen: Jon Miller is hashtagging?
Miller: Oh yeah, yeah. Rich Eisen Show, #OnFleek.
Eisen: (Laughter)
