Some in Oklahoma City are appreciative of what Kevin Durant did for the city. He never did win a championship, but his brought instant credibility to the Thunder organization and banded together a legion of people.
Some in Oklahoma City are not appreciate of Durant’s decision to join the Golden State Warriors.
According to ESPN’s Darren Rovell, Academy Sports+Outdoors has marked down Durant’s No. 35 OKC jersey a whopping 99 percent, down from $69.99 to 48 cents.
Durant announced he was coming to the Warriors on Independence Day, a move that sent shockwaves through the NBA and the entire sports world. A growing list of current players, retired legends and media members blasted the decision, one in which Durant took suitors during a three day weekend in The Hamptons.
The Warriors beat the Thunder in a highly contested Western Conference Finals. Oddly enough, Andre Iguodala said last week he thought Oklahoma City was the best team in the playoffs last season, and should’ve won the title.
