Mike Krukow joined Murph & Mac on KNBR and shared some interesting details about Jake Peavy falling victim to a financial scam earlier this season. Krukow said that the team was aware of Peavy’s problem as he dealt with the it at the beginning of the year, and believes it was to blame for Peavy’s poor start to the season. Krukow called Peavy’s financial troubles “the American tragedy,” but also shed some light into how Peavy is trying to turn the situation into a positive by asking MLB if he can speak to young ballplayers about how to avoid situations like the one he found himself in.
