President Obama and his family returned to Washington Sunday night after visiting several national parks in the western half of the country, including Yosemite. Unfortunately for Obama, a noted basketball fan, they landed at Joint Base Andrews in Air Force One right as Game 7 of the NBA Finals was concluding, so the first family stayed aboard the plane for about 20 extra minutes to watch the end of the game.

It is well-known that Obama is a Chicago Bulls fan, so he may have been a bit relieved that the Warriors couldn’t cap off their record-breaking regular season by securing a title like his 1996 Bulls did, but he has also become quite close with Stephen Curry over the past two years.
The two have played golf together and teamed up on a PSA, and Obama did share congratulations with the Dubs back in April for winning 73 games this season.
Congrats to the @Warriors, a great group of guys on and off the court. If somebody had to break the Bulls' record, I'm glad it's them.
