OAKLAND — Klay Thompson said the Warriors are moving on without Draymond Green. There’s nothing Golden State can do about the NBA’s decision to suspend him for throwing a fist at LeBron James in Game 4.

As expected, the Warriors were peppered with questions about Green after practice on Sunday. Thompson did have a comment to make on why LeBron James chose to publicly say that Green crossed the line with his trash talking.

“I mean, guys talk trash in this league all the time. I’m just kind of shocked some guys take it so personal (laughing). It’s like, I mean, you know, it’s a man’s league and I’ve heard a lot of bad things on that court, but at the end of the day it stays on the court,” Thompson said at the podium.

Here are the quotes from LeBron on Friday that Thompson was referring to.

“You know, Draymond just said something that I don’t agree with,” James explained about the Game 4 clash. “I’m all cool with the competition. I’m all fine with that, but some of the words that came out of his mouth were a little bit overboard, and being a guy with pride, a guy with three kids and a family, things of that nature, some things just go overboard and that’s where he took it, and that was it.”

Steph Curry played it more in the middle of the fence.

“That’s between them (Draymond and LeBron),” Curry said on Sunday. “Knowing the game of basketball and the competition, there’s going to be chatter back and forth. I’ve gotten into it with guys at times.”
