Hunter Pence re-injured his strained right hamstring in the Giants’ game against the Braves.

The injury will force Pence to the disabled list, according to reports out of Atlanta.

The 33-year-old right-fielder came up lame running down the first-base line in the fourth inning. Pence was playing in his fifth game since returning to the lineup following the initial injury, which limited him to two pinch-hit appearances from May 21 through May 27.

Pence leads the Giants with seven home runs and 36 RBI.

The Giants called up Mac Williamson to take Pence’s spot on the 25-man roster.
