KNBR 680/1050 is looking for a Creative Services Director to help brand one
Broadcasting from our offices in downtown
Thousands of people in radio know how to use ProTools and Cool Edit. We’re looking for the person who is not only an expert in production, but someone who can write clever, witty, imaginative and creative spots. Boring and bland are not words to describe our station or our brand.
As the Creative Services Director, you’ll be writing and producing promos, liners, IDs, etc., for the station’s highly ranked talk shows and flagship teams, including the San Francisco Giants,
The Creative Services Director must be a self starter, able to work independently, detail oriented, and highly organized.
You must have a previous track record of successful station imaging, with a minimum of 4 years of experience.
You may also be asked to help with station production, production for other stations in the group, and might be responsible for doing some on-air sports updates.
Knowledge of ENCO, ProTools and Cool Edit Pro is a must.

KNBR Sales Department Interns, San Francisco, CA
Cumulus San Francisco is currently accepting applications for a number of internships available with the Promotions Departments at our stations:
KNBR - The Sports Leader
Our programs run with the school semesters - Fall (September - December), Spring (January - April), and Summer (May - August). These positions are for academic credit only.
Broadcasting from our offices in downtown San Francisco, with great views of the bay and the bridge, we offer an exciting, non-stop action environment for the pursuit of professional excellence.
Candidates will provide clerical and creative support to the Sales staff, including special projects for the Sales Managers. The internship will provide broad experience in radio sales, and opportunities are available to work with and learn about other departments as well.
The job averages approximately 15 – 20 hours per week and includes mostly day shifts. Nights, weekends, and 15holidays may be required from time to time.
The intern position requires the following:
- Must be a currently enrolled college student.
- Must have a valid California Driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Must have a GPA of C or above.
- Course of study in communications/broadcasting or business is preferred.
- Must have good communication skills – oral and written.
- Must have excellent office and computer skills.
- Must be familiar with the KFOG, KSAN, or KNBR formats.
- Must have flexible hours and be able to work at least 15 hours per week.

KNBR Account Executive
KNBR – The Bay Area's Sports Leader is looking for entry level Sports Account Executives. KNBR is one of the top sports talk radio stations in the country, and has a format monopoly in the Northern California region. This means that clients are eager to advertise with us – on the air, on our station web site, and on our web broadcast stream.
Our Account Executives have the ability to offer exposure and association with some of the most prominent sports teams in the country – the San Francisco Giants, the San Francisco 49ers, the Golden State Warriors and the San Jose SaberCats. These affiliations provide our Account Executives with the ability to reach a wide array of prospects - even those that traditionally don’t use radio.
We have great ratings with the money demographic groups and are a “must” on most institutional advertising buying lists.
Our training system for new Account Executives is among the strongest in the market.
In this position you would be asked to solicit, present and negotiate sports sponsorships (San Francisco Giants, San Francisco 49ers, Golden State Warriors), station events, airtime and integrated promotions. Candidates must have the ability and desire to develop new business, strong communication skills and previous sales experience.
You will be required to meet deadlines and sales goals and work effectively with other station departments.
