It looks like the Giants didn’t have to give up much in exchange for one guaranteed year of five-time All-Star Andrew McCutchen.
Previously, it was reported that former Giants first-round pick Kyle Crick is part of the deal. Apparently, Crick will also be joined by Bryan Reynolds, the club’s second round pick in the 2016 Draft, according to Andrew Baggarly of The Athletic.
Confirmed: Bryan Reynolds and Kyle Crick to Pittsburgh for McCutchen. Unclear if there is any money being exchanged. Doesn’t appear to be.

Reynolds, 22, an outfielder, was ranked as the club’s fourth best prospect in November by Baseball America, and posted an impressive slash line of .312/.364/.462 with Single-A San Jose last season.
Crick got the call up to the major league club for the first time in 2017, and was solid coming out of the bullpen, posting a 3.06 ERA in 30 relief appearances. Crick also had a solid year in AAA Sacramento, posting a 2.76 ERA after transitioning to a relief role for the first time in his pro career.Crick, 25, is a right-handed pitcher that hasn’t been considered a Top 100 MLB prospect since 2015. Crick was ranked as the club’s 16th prospect heading into the 2017 season, and didn’t make Baseball America’s top 10 Giants’ prospects list for 2018.
McCutchen, 31, is due $14.5 million next season, before becoming an unrestricted free agent in 2019.
