Ty Blach turned in the latest of what has been a string of quality starts for Giants pitchers on Tuesday night in a close win over the Dodgers. After the game, Bochy and Blach talked about the key to the staff’s recent success, and Blach’s dominance over the Dodgers in his short career.

Early in the news conference, Popovich said at the start of the game he didn’t think his team believed they could beat the Warriors after losing Kawhi Leonard. Long-time Bay Area columnist Ray Ratto asked Coach Pop about when he realized this. Popovich didn’t appreciate the question, and snapped back at Ratto. Now that Kevin Durant accompanies a nearly flawless roster, those days of grinding through the postseason are officially over. When Andre Iguodala was ruled out for Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals, the belief the Warriors have in their 2nd round draft pick, Pat McCaw, probably had something to do with it. And the rookie didn’t disappoint.

The game was never close. Not for a second. The Warriors led by 17 at the end of the first quarter, had 72 points at halftime and hit 9 of their first 12 3-pointers. None of Golden State’s starters played a minute in the fourth quarter. This was a massacre.

In the middle of the third quarter of Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals Stephen Curry put his handles on display, putting a hesitation move on Deadmond. Deadmond tried to recover and stop Curry’s path to the basket from the floor, but there was no stopping the two-time MVP.

Rookie Christian Arroyo will make his first MLB start at second base on Tuesday for the Giants, marking the third different position he’s played with San Francisco in his 22 games with the team. Bruce Bochy said it’s becoming increasingly important for Giants players to be able to move around defensively, because it’s the best way to get themselves at-bats.

Brown was following San Antonio’s police escort into Oracle Arena. In his mind, he had hit the jackpot. He didn’t have to deal with any traffic.But several police officers surrounded Brown’s Range Rover. One cop even got on his loudspeaker to yell at him.
